'Canopus' is part of Mr. Tom Wahl's 'Shenandoah' X 'Susquehanna' breeding efforts. Also known as his Shenasus series which are named after celestial bodies. Reported to sport incredibly heavy production. Ripens late season.

Fruit: Very Large; ~10 - 14oz., reported to produce fruits as large as 24oz.

Seed: Reported to have low seed weight

Flavor: Bright and sweet tropical flavor with notes of vanilla

Color at ripeness: Yellowed-green
