'Kanawha' ® is Neal Peterson's latest release, and it is a stunner! This cultivar is the result of crossing A. triloba and A. reticulata. It is a small stature tree with a single trunk, small leaves, large flowers (nearly three times larger than the average A. triloba), and ripens early in the season.  Comes in a 1 gallon pot, plant is 1-3ft.

**Need to have 3,000 growing degree days for the fruits to ripen**

Fruit: Medium (~11oz.), smooth, creamy and firm texture. The shape is rounded and palm sized.

Seed: ~6% by weight

Flavor: Firm, sweet, floral aroma, with melon flavor comparable to 'Overleese'.

Color at ripeness: Green; no distinct color break.
