The mother of the fruit, from which these seeds were collected, was 'Nikita's Gift'. The tree is planted in proximity to D. kaki and D. virginiana X kaki trees. Many of these are seedlings with excellent fruits of their own. Pollen-sources unknown to our knowledge.
