'Halvin' is a wild selection from Iowa, found by Mr. Tyler Halvin and Mrs. Danae Halvin. The fruit is characterized by its short ripening season, making it an excellent choice for Northerly climes. It ripens about three weeks sooner than others despite a later flower set.
Fruit: Large; ~8 - 14oz.
Seed: Seedy at ~10%
Flavor: Sweet, mellow, reminiscent of mango and pineapple; no aftertaste
Color at ripeness: Yellowed-green
