'Overleese' was a wild-selected tree from Indiana by Mr. W.B. Ward in 1950. Despite how long ago this selection was found it remains a wonderful selection. Ripens late Summer to early Fall
Fruit: Medium - Large; ~6oz. Creamy texture with yellow flesh
Seed: Reported to have low seed-weight
Flavor: Sweet and mild with a prominent melon flavor
Color at ripeness: Green; no color-break
