'Windstar' was bred by Mr. Cliff England and is a cross of two of Mr. Jerry Lehman's selection; '275-48' X '275-50'. Matures in mid-September.

Fruit: Large 6 - 12oz. though, noted to have produced fruits as large as 28oz. Texture noted to be similar to dense custard

Seed: Reported to have low seed-weight

Flavor: Very sweet and sugary and no bitter aftertaste

Color at ripeness: Yellowed-green
